Apple pie for breakfast? Yes please!


Calling this oatmeal porridge a pie is maybe a bit bold, but it is really delicious!

Seriously, this baked apple oats is a delight for your nose, your tastebuds and very satisfying for your tummy. The only potential downside..? You just want it now and you want more, again and again, because it's just sooo darn tasty! 😋

So brace yourself, and get ready to put this apple pie oatmeal goodness in your face!


Here we go...

Ingredients (for 1 serving)

- bit of oil or butter

- 1 apple (use a bit sour one to get the best and most tasty result when cooked)

- 1 tablespoon honey

- 1 cup of milk (you can use any milk, I like to use the oats or coconut)

- 1/2 cup of oats

- cinnamon

- optional, pinch of salt

- a handful of nuts to your liking

How to

- Clean and chop the apple. 🍎

- Bit of oil or butter in a pan, heat up.

- Add the apple, some cinnamon and honey in the pan.

- Bake the goodies till it is caramelised and the apple a bit soft.

Personally I still like it that the apple has some bite.

- Then add the milk and oats and bring to a boil.

- When boiling, lower the heat and cook for about 3-4 minutes so the oats are fully cooked.

- Top it off with some roasted nuts! (or bake them along)
