Salty caramel & chocolate smoothie bowl!


Salted caramel... a relative new taste but loved by many people and nowadays you can get almost anything with this heavenly flavour combination. Traditional salted caramel is just salt & sugar and not much nutrition to it. This quick and easy to make salty caramel & chocolate smoothie bowl on the other hand does have the distinguishing flavour, but no added sugar and lots of wholesome ingredients your body will love! Starting the day with this for breakfast and get fueled for the rest of your morning...

This lovely breakfast smoothie bowl is...

So, let's get started...


Ingredients

  • 200 gr (coconut) yoghurt

  • 1 small or 1/2 banana

  • 2 tablespoon of rolled oats

  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder

  • 2-3 dates, or 1 tablespoon date paste/sirup

  • pinch of salt

  • few drops of vanilla essence, or vanilla pod

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter

  • 1 scoop banana flavoured sugar free protein powder (optional)

  • blender

  • bowl

  • spoon for scooping

  • toppings of your liking


How to

  • cut the dates and blend until it becomes a paste, or use date paste/sirup

  • add the rest of the ingredients a blend until nice and creamy

  • serve in a bowl and indulge!


Add some lovely toppings to this breakfast smoothie bowl such as few more slices of banana or other fruit, grated (salty caramel) chocolate bar = my favourite!, date or maple sirup, homemade granola, roasted nuts, hemp seeds, dates, chunks of chocolate or coconut flakes to create several different textures for a party in your mouth!


And if you are a bit more in a hurry, use milk instead of yoghurt and drink it.
